Recipe Brief Description: Spinach dal curry is wonderful combination. This dish is an easy to prepare.
Onion – 2 number (chopped)
- Spinach – 2 bunch (finely chopped)
- Tomato – 2 number
- Split green gram – 1/2 cup
- Cumin seeds – 1 tbsp
- Ginger – 1 tbsp (chopped)
- Garlic – 6-7 cloves
- Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Green chilies – 3-4 numbers
- Turmeric powder – 1 tbsp
- Asafoetida – 1 pinch
- Salt to tasteCooking Time: 30 minutesPreparation Method:
- Cook moong dal with half the turmeric powder and asafoetida till soft.
- Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, garlic, ginger, green chilies and stir for few second. Add onion and stir till onion turn to brown in colour.
- Now, mix in spinach and stir for half minute. Add turmeric, dal and mix well.
- Add one cup water, salt and stir. Add lemon juice just before serving.
