Fish tikka masala is an Indian dish, and it’s very popular in the UK and many other parts of world beside India. It can be eaten as a main meal or served with bhatura for breakfast. This recipe is extremely quick and easy to make, and it will only take you about 30 minutes from start to finish. You can use any fish you like, but white fish is recommended. Fish tikka masala is made up of vegetables, spices and yogurt. The base is the curry sauce, which is flavored with garam masala. This is added to the tomato gravy and blended together.

Fish Tikka Masala has about 200 -300 calories per 250 gm of serving.


Fish Tikka Masala

Ingredients for Fish Tikka Masala:

  • Fish  – 1/2 Kg
  • Oil – 6 tablespoon
  • Ajwain – 1 teaspoon
  • Cream – 1/4 cup
  • Cumin powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala – 2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garlic paste – 1 tablespoon
  • Gram Flour – 2 tablespoon
  • Lime juice – 2 tablespoon
  • Mint chutney – 2 tablespoon
  • Coriander chutney – 2 tablespoon
  • White pepper powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Onion – 1 no’s chopped in rings.
  • Curd/yogurt – 1/4 cup
  • Salt To Taste

Method for Fish Tikka Masala:

  • Mix cream garlic paste, ajwain, chili powder, cumin powder, garam masala, lime juice, salt, mint , coriander chutney, gram flour in yogurt.
  • Add fish pieces to the above mixture and mainate them for about 3 hours.
  • Heat oil in a pan, deep fry fish pieces till crisp.
  • Enjoy Fried Fish Tikka Masala with chopped onions.
